There is no doubt that Biomedical R&D and Innovation in general and Clinical Trials in particular represent a key element in the development and delivery of better health care to patients around the globe.

As such, we have collectively, established a national and a global network, The Saudi Clinical Trials Enterprise (SCTE) dedicated to strengthening and establishing a vibrant clinical trials ecosystem in Saudi Arabia in partnership with a number of local stakeholders and international partners, most of whom are present with us today in this conference.

With that in mind, I am delighted and honored to welcome you in the second edition of the International Conference for Clinical Trials being held here, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As part of the Saudi Clinical Trials Enterprise’s efforts to advance clinical trials in KSA and worldwide, this conference is a unique opportunity for us to come together and share our insights on the current and future directions of clinical trials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and globally.

We are privileged to host a distinguished lineup of local and international speakers and leaders from the academic as well as the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, to present and discuss recent developments and trends in this field. These contributions will undoubtedly shape the future of clinical trials in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

At this conference, we will explore and discuss different aspects of a successful clinical trials enterprise ranging from building and setting up well qualified and expert clinical trials management teams, to the collaborations with CROs and pharmaceutical industrial partners, and going through successful coordination with regulatory agencies.  .

We are working with various national stakeholders and international partners towards this goal, with the ultimate aim of enhancing human health and well-being while contributing to global biomedical and health R&D, innovation, and economic growth.
